Episode Eighteen:

Just when we thought the weddings were over the show presented us with two brand new couples: Susie and Billy, and Tamara and Dan. It’s like we are back at square one!

Tamara and Dan seemed like a pretty good match as they were both family orientated with a good sense of humour. It was an emotional episode for Tamara, who reflected on the absence of her late mother. But Dan managed to put a spring in her step with a few laughs and some much-needed compassion. There was an immediate attraction between the two of them, and we couldn’t help but cross our fingers that this one works out.

Susie and Billy get off to a bit of a rougher start. Susie is a highly assertive person and seemed rather put off by her new overly emotional husband. While Billy’s vows were sweet, they were a tad over the top, and he couldn’t stop gushing about his new wife. This all seemed to turn her off a bit, and the bride started to slowly withdraw. Luckily, it was Susie’s dad to the rescue. The audience was warned about her father’s potential volatile personality; however, in this confrontation, he was nothing but kind. The new father-in-law approached Billy and gave him some blunt, but potentially relationship-saving advice: Chill out. Don’t be too eager, and she will come to you.

Both couples head back to their honeymoon suits and change into equally funky pyjamas for a well-needed rest, and nothing else.

Cutest Moment of the Episode:

Dan proved himself to be a powerful wordsmith during his vows to Tamara. “I cannot promise to give you the world,” he began, making Tamara appear a tad confused. “But I can promise to give you mine.” Ahhh…How smooth.

Most Hilarious Moment of the Episode:

Tamara’s ride to her wedding underwent a bit of battery trouble, so there was a small delay in her arrival. After 20 minutes of manic phones calls and car work, the vehicle was eventually ready. The relieved look on the limo drivers face was hilarious, as he saved himself from the scolding of a lifetime from a fiery young bride.
