Timaru-based dessert makers Denheath are offering their enormous Novelty Custard Cake half-price until midnight tonight.
The cake, which measures 25 x 30 cm and weighs 3 kilograms, normally retails for $84 but today could be yours for just $42, plus P&P.
That’s $14 per kilogram – a ‘sweet’ deal if we’ve ever seen one.
According to Denheath, the cake consists of “fluffy high rise melt-in-your-mouth rich creamy vanilla custard filled squares, complemented with a golden flaky pastry and Denheath’s signature icing topped with curly-white shredded coconut.”
