Known for its authentic belief in individuality and self-expression, Dr. Martens has announced the launch of its first New Zealand retail store in Westfield Newmarket’s new shopping precinct.
The store will officially open on Thursday 21 November 2019. Offering the largest range of men’s, women’s and kids’ styles in New Zealand including Originals, Made in England, full vegan ranges, global collaborations, and accessories.
“Dr. Martens creates distinctive footwear build and adopted by generations of rebellious individuals not afraid to stand out from the crowd,” explained Matt Hapgood of Dr. Martens retail Australia and New Zealand. “We’ve come a long way, from modest work-wear boots to one of the more culturally relevant brands of the modern era.”
The brand has been recognised globally for the shoe’s stylish aesthetic, durability and comfort. The shoe has come a long way since the 60s, with its iconic yellow stitch, grooved sole and heel-loop, it has transformed from the workman boot to one of the trendiest shoes in the game.
Kiwis will be looking forward to the new store opening in Newmarket. “Our arrival in New Zealand is very exciting and will allow us to connect with our loyal Kiwi Docs fans and provide them with a premium Dr. Martens shopping experience,” said Hapgood.
