Ex Kiwi stripper guilty of vicious attack

A Kiwi former stripper, now turned rapper, has been found guilty after attacking a woman in a hotel in Sydney.

The attack left Australian woman Lauren Cameron with a busted face and split lip that needed sixteen stitches.

Kiwi-born Jessica Aitchison, who performs under the name Jackel Daniels, and her boyfriend Reece Barry Mobbs were charged with hitting Cameron in the face with a plastic cup on July 29 at the Burdekin Hotel in Sydney.

Aitchison, a former Miss Nude champion, and Mobbs denied they were involved in the incident and pleaded not guilty. However, in court, Magistrate Joan Baptie said the couple presented unreliable evidence which found Aitchison guilty of reckless wounding.

Cameron explained she was in the smoking-room where the couple was when she felt a nudge on her shoulder. She claimed the two then began to scream abuse at her spat at her.

“I got called a slut and got spat on,” she told the court. “It all happened super quickly.”

“I felt a little bit scared, honestly – someone a lot taller than what I am and built, it’s a little bit confronting to be in that situation”.

Cameron said she then turned to face Aitchison and was smacked in the face with the cup.

The couple will return to court in December for the sentencing.
