Fashion Auction house, GWS Auctions, have digitised their auctions with a runway show streamed worldwide. The first auction in this new format included a large amount of Chanel goods, jewels from the Vietnamese royal family and items which belonged to Elizabeth Taylor. Showing garments on models is a departure from the typical set-up of a fashion auction, in which garments are displayed hung or in another stationary format. A runway show served to give online bidders more idea about how the garments looked when worn.
