The official first look from Dexter Fletcher’s upcoming Elton John biopic is here.
The still above shows an almost unrecognisable Taron Egerton in a gold lame jacket, gold chain and winged sneakers, lounging on a mod chair inside a private plane. The young heartthrob has had a string of movie hits spanning genres, including another Fletcher-headed biopic about a British icon (Eddie the Eagle).
The film will cover the legendary Elton John’s early years in the music business, following him from his studies at the Royal Academy of Music through to his arrival on the international scene.
The teaser trailer below gives a glimpse of some of the star’s famous outfits, alongside a few of the darker moments in Elton John’s early life.
It will also star Jamie Bell, Richard Madden, and Bryce Dallas Howard.
