The first look at Daniel Craig as James Bond in the forthcoming instalment has been released.
The exclusive image of Craig in the next Bond film No Time to Die was seen in Empire’s upcoming 2020 preview issue, shortly after the film’s Instagram page announced the end of shooting.
No Time to Die’s synopsis explains the film will begin with Bond, who is enjoying a relaxing life in Jamaica when old friend Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright), from the CIA, comes to Bond for help.
The plot then turns into a typical James Bond mission, where 007 must save a kidnapped scientist, battle a new mysterious villain and face dangerous technology. What else could we want?
The upcoming film will include familiar faces with Ralph Fiennes returning as M, Lea Seydoux as Dr Madeleine Swann and Ben Whishaw back as Q.
Director Barbara Broccoli described the next supervillain as a “nasty piece of work” which will be played by Golden Globe winner Rami Malek.
No Time to Die will additionally introduce a female version of 007 played by Lashana Lynch and will be released in the UK on 3 April 2020.
