Chandler Kinney is the latest rising star to hit Hollywood. Named by Just Jared Jr. as a “Breakout Style Star of 2017”, actress and philanthropist Chandler Kinney stars on TVNZ’s hit series Lethal Weapon. The star plays Riana Murtagurh, the daughter of LAPD detective Roger Murtaugh played by Damon Wayans. The action-packed drama series, based on the hit movie franchise of the same name is currently airing season two on TVNZ.

One of the most favourable young actresses working today, Kinney not only devotes herself to acting but is also considered a philanthropist. Giving back to the community, the star founded her own not-for-profit organisation, “Chandler’s Friends” which gives back by donating cosy handmade blankets to foster children in need.

Born in Sacramento, California, Kinney began her entertainment career in dance, and at the tender age of three years old, moved with her family to Los Angeles to attend dance school. She caught the acting bug when she was cast in Debbie Allen’s stage musical “Twist,” starring in over 60 shows in Atlanta over the course of three months. While continuing to perfect her craft in acting classes, Chandler quickly started landing commercials and television shows eventually being cast in the hit television series Lethal Weapon.
