Monteith’s is set to take the in-stadium experience at the BLACKCAPS cricket matches to the next level this summer as the new partner of New Zealand Cricket. Monteith’s will be offering cricket fans far more beer and cider choice at the stadium, where traditionally choices have been limited. To further add to the in-stadium experience, from January 2019 Monteith’s will also be offering fans a new competition linked to how the game plays out on the day.
Called Monteith’s Match Cups, the competition is a fun way to engage with key memorable moments in the game. Each Monteith’s product purchased at a BLACKCAPS ODI or T20 match will be printed with a “BREWED FOR” cricket moment (such as a century or four 4s in one over). Should the moment on the cup happen, punters can take a photo of themselves with the cup, post it on Instagram and tag it with #MonteithsMatchCup to be in to win. Roaming ambassadors will deliver prizes directly to the winners in the ground throughout the match.
Monteith’s Match Cup prizes will include BLACKCAPS and Monteith’s merchandise; portable speakers; Bespoke Cricket Sets; BBQs; and tickets for future matches.
Monteith’s will also be giving away a trip for four to the 2019 Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, an event that is sure to be at the top of the wish-list for every Kiwi cricket fan.
In addition to the in-stadium experience, Monteith’s ‘tasting paddle cricket bats’ will be available at 60 bars around the country, so fans watching from the pub can also get into the spirit of New Zealand’s favourite summer game and be in to win their own backyard cricket set.
