From today (May 7th) to the 17th there will be a new bar in Ponsonby. Auckland’s popular Chapel Bar was transformed in just 12 hours to ‘Kapell Bar’ (Swedish translation of the English word “Chapel”), which is the city’s very first and only Swedish bar.
Chapel Bar’s very own Tom Williamson has curated a Swedish-inspired, limited edition menu that includes Swedish Pancakes, Swedish Meatballs, Rekorderlig Cider-battered Fish & Chips AND Pytt i Panna (aka the beef one)
There’s even spot prizes!
With it’s classically Swedish luxe interior and simplistic design, perfect for celebrating the beginning of Summer in Sweden. The result is Beautifully Swedish.
