Sneak Peek at Rocketman: An Elton John Tribute

Elton John has had an incomparable music career from sell-out stadium tours to platinum albums to collaborations with some of the industry’s biggest names including Eminem and Beyonce. Now, this musical mastermind is being celebrated on the big screen in the motion picture event: Rocketman.

The film follows Elton through his breakout years and into superstardom and tells a very human story about the musicians’ success and his failures.

The latest poster for the film was shot by David LaChapelle who is responsible for some of Elton’s most iconic imagery throughout his career. LaChapelle shot Taron Egerton, who portrays the beloved musician, in one of Elton’s signature ensembles.

Everyone involved in the film’s production seems to be pretty excited about its upcoming release. Giles Martin, the movie’s Music Producer released a quote from Elton praising the film’s musicianship. “I don’t think I have heard anyone sing my songs better than Taron,” said Elton.

If a glowing review from the man himself isn’t enough, check out this sneak peek to the film. Rocketman premiere’s in New Zealand on May 30th, so don’t miss out!
