Kiwis can’t resist probably the best pie in the world, made by the brewers of probably the best beer in the world. Everyone knows kiwis are huge pie fans and according to Food Standards Australia New Zealand, the average New Zealander eats 15 pies per year. Today hundreds of Auckland pie lovers welcomed the Carlsberg Pop Up Pie Window, at Imperial Lane on Fort Lane, where kiwis can taste test Carlsberg’s new take on the kiwi staple, the steak and cheese pie. The pop up pie bar is open daily from Wednesday 13 December through to Thursday 14 December, from 12-3 pm and 4-7 pm on Friday the 15th December, with a limited number of 1,000 pies available.
