Darken your clothes and strike a violent pose because the best rock band of the 2000s is reuniting.
In 2013, emo rock band My Chemical Romance said goodbye to their devoted fans after a decade-long run. However die-hard fans can now rejoice as the bands official Twitter page recently announced some exciting news.
Reading “Like Phantoms Forever…”, followed by “Tickets on Sale Friday 11/1/19 at 12:00 pm”, the tweet cryptically announced the band’s reunion show.
Fans are overwhelmed with the surprising news and have taken to social media to show their excitement.
One fan wrote, “YALL GONNA BRING ALL THE EMO KIDS CRAWLING OUT OF THE FLOORBOARDS WTF.”
While another posted to Twitter “The #mychemicalromance reunion is the BEST thing to EVER happen to our scene.
“Move aside hip hop… 2020 is the year of EMO”
In a recent interview with the band’s lead singer Gerard Way, it was explained the group’s breakup was due to the intense pressure from the public’s expectations.
“You get caught up in this trap of ‘Is it ever gonna be good enough?'” Way said.
“It wasn’t fun to make stuff any more. I think breaking up the band broke us out of that machine.”
The band are set to return to the stage on December 20 at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
