URBAN FESTIVAL SET TO SHAKE UP AUCKLAND’S EVENT SCENE

There’s a new kid on the block this summer with tickets for the Takapuna Food, Wine and Music Festival having been released for sale on Thursday 5th October. Festival goers are expected to swarm the event, which is set to take place this summer on Saturday 10 February 2018.

Smales Farm in Takapuna was picked to host the festival with the farm being close to both public transport and the motorway, whilst also having expansive lawns and purpose-built amenities, making it the perfect place for the urban festival to be held. The R20 event, which takes place from 11am to 7pm, combines the best of traditional food and wine festivals with popular music events to create a new experience for Aucklanders.

Ticket holders will not be disappointed with Sneaky Sound System, DJ Karn Hall, Sola Rosa, Nathan Haines, Jordan Luck Band, Hipstamatics, Latin Aotearoa and many more set to take the stage.

Waiheke Island’s very own Man O’ War Vineyard will be amongst the award-winning wine line up along with wine from the Queenstown, Marlborough, and Kumeu regions. French champagnes and top local craft breweries will also be amongst those showcasing their favourite products at the festival.

Premium cuisine providers; Double Dutch Fries and Miss Moonshines will be joining some of Auckland’s much-loved food providers to bring their unique and smoky flavours to patrons at Food, Wine and Music Festival.

Eager to host more sizable public events, Smales Farm is hoping that the Festival will showcase their ability to capacitate the 5000 expected Festival goers in their innovative ‘next generation neighbourhood’.

Highlife entertainment is hoping that the combination of premium art, entertainment, food and wine providers will deliver a new and sophisticated event that Aucklanders will love.

A special first release ticket price of $55 plus booking fee for general admission and $110 plus booking fee for VIP tickets, which includes a complimentary drink upon arrival and side stage seating, are currently on sale at www.takapunafestival.co.nz.
