Sorry angels, the 2019 Victoria’s Secret Fashion show has officially been cancelled.

In May, CNBC informed Victoria’s Secret employees that they were “rethinking” the annual show as it wasn’t the right fit. This week, the CEO of L Brands, which owns Victoria’s Secret, confirmed the show’s cancellation during a conference call.

“We’ll be communicating to customers, but nothing that I would say is similar in magnitude to the fashion show,” said Stuart Burgdoerfer.

In July, VS model Shanina Shaik caused speculation of the show’s cancellation during an interview with The Daily Telegraph.

“It’s something I’m not used to because every year around this time I’m training like an angel. But I’m sure in the future something will happen,” said Shaik.

“I’m sure they’re trying to work on branding and new ways to do the show because it’s the best show in the world.”

Over the past three years, the brand’s sales have steadily declined and last years runway show sunk to its lowest ratings of all time.
