Pop icon Kylie Minogue recently went the extra mile for two young fans behind the scenes of a show in Oxford, UK.
Sophie and Lauren Cripps, who recently lost their mother to a brain tumour, were treated to a special sing-along of the song ‘Dancing’, along with members of Kylie’s entourage. Kylie shared a video of the a cappella performance on her Instagram account.
A video of Sophie and Lauren singing ‘Dancing’ – which bears the lyric, “When I go out, I wanna go out dancing” – to their mother the day before she died was shared on Twitter by the girls’ father, Lee, in February.
Our girls singing to their mummy, the day before she died. Alex died on 10th Jan 2019. Really want @kylieminogue to see this, to see how much her music means to us as a family and I would love for our girls to meet her. Please RT in the hope it reaches her. @BrainTumourOrg pic.twitter.com/8hckyH4UNm

Kylie saw the video and responded, Tweeting, “Lee, thank you for sharing this tender moment of your girls singing to Alex. Iām so touched and so very sorry for your loss. Sending you and your girls lots of love.”
Lee arranged with Kylie’s management for a meet and greet with the star before her show in Oxford, but kept it a secret for his daughters. “It was a surprise I had known about for a few weeks,” he said. “It felt like Kylie had all the time in the world for the girls. They were thrilled.”
At the end of the impromptu performance, Kylie playfully threw roses at the girls’ feet and said, “You’re hired!”
