From a small workroom in Mount Maunganui to one of New Zealand’s most loved fashion brands, Moochi has marked 25 years of delivering premium, effortlessly modern style.

The brand’s success is attributed to Kellie and Chris Taylor’s focus on creating for and with the women who wear Moochi. Like many businesses, it navigated significant challenges over the past five years, including COVID-19 lockdowns and economic flattening.

Moochi has now entered a new era with a strong leadership team of four key individuals, enabling the brand to pursue new aspirations.

At the helm is a talented team, including General Manager Nicole Skilton, Head of Merchandise and Retail Alex Phillips, Head Designer Rebecca Batley-Alder, and Head of Marketing and Australian Business Manager Morgan Taylor, daughter of Kellie and Chris.

Led by Morgan, the brand is also planning to expand into Australia, starting with an Australian-specific website, followed by a mix of retail and in-market partners, with a focus on understanding the unique Australian market.

The ultimate goal for the Australian expansion is to build a loyal Moochi customer base, similar to their success in New Zealand.

Through every shift and season, the essence of Moochi remains unchanged: timeless design, confident ease, and a deep respect for its customers.
