Episode One:

We have met this year’s contestants, and there seems to be a good mix of personalities to ensure that the season will be filled with conflict, which is really what everyone is after.

Following a small meeting where the brides and grooms come together separately to get to know each other, we dive straight into the weddings of our first couples: Nic and Cyrell, and Jules and Cam.

Nic and Cyrell both seem fun and outspoken. The wedding goes pretty smoothly other than Cyrell’s brother Ivan feeling the need to have ‘the talk’ with the new groom. During this showdown, we learn that Nic is a cancer survivor which is what inspired him to seek a partner, someone who truly cares for him. The confrontation turns out to be somewhat anti-climactic because even Ivan knows that the caner-card trumps the protective-big-brother-card.

For Jules and Cam, it seems to be love at first sight. The pair immediately fall into being absolutely smitten with one another, with sweet little whispers, hand holding and confessions of mutual attraction. We are all swooning.

Cutest Moment of the Ep:

Jules and Cam’s first dance: The music doesn’t come on for the pairs first dance, but instead of letting the upset get to them, the newlyweds decide to have a silent boogy. It would almost be cringy if it weren’t so darn sweet.

Most Hilarious Moment of the Ep:

When Ivan throws a bit of a tantrum after Cyrell announces she is getting married at a family dinner. The siblings begin to bicker, and their mother’s response is priceless: “Don’t swear in front of the food!”
