Episode Ten:

This week the couples moved into their own apartments conveniently located directly beside every other couple. Because real life is just living it up in a penthouse with your friends, right?

This week was YES week, where one member of each couple got full control over the pair’s daily activities. Here is how they all got on:

Jules and Cam: This pair played cricket, laughed a lot, fell deeper in love, just everything we are used to seeing from them.

Ning and Mark were getting along swimmingly, Mark even suggested Ning wash his back for him in their new shower. Too far? Perhaps.

Heidi and Mike seemed to be doing nothing but locking lips.

Melissa and Dino didn’t really get any screen time this episode, so we can assume they are doing alright.

Nic made a ‘snappy jar’ for Cyrell, where she is promised punishments for any poor behaviour over the next week. The gesture was hilarious but with undertones of truth. Overall the gesture went over well, and the two were able to laugh about it.

Martha insisted that for YES week Michael turned vegan. The request was met with reasonable enthusiasm and the pair continued to grow closer.

Jess and Mick also receive very little screen time…we must be making room for some upcoming drama…

Matthew had the power over Lauren for yes week but proved to be a little dull with his ideas. He started by asking Lauren a collection of rather two-dimensional questions, which has his wife feeling a little bored. When he asked her ‘What is something people may be surprised to learn about you?” Lauren responded with the fact that she used to date women. Matt seemed rather thrown off by this revelation, leaving Lauren feeling dejected. Come on Mattit’sts 2019!

Ines and Bronson underwent some severe counselling following last week’s explosive outbursts. The session ended in a mild reconciliation, whereby they weren’t yelling at each other, but Ines was still giving her husband a very cold shoulder. Perhaps this is because she has developed a bit of a wandering eye. Ines turned her attention to Elizabeth’s husband, Sam, and even sent him a suggestive Instagram. All eyes are on these two to see how things will play out.

Elizabeth started off the week by making Sam live in isolation, as she was forced to do while he was away. However, after a pep talk with Cyrell she decided that punishing Sam was no way to grow closer to him, so she returned to the apartment for some together time. She ended up apologising for her behaviour and hugging Sam a bit too much, making her husband appear rather uncomfortable. But this may be because he had just received Ines’ message, and is hinted to be responding in kind…

Cutest Moment of the Episode:

Cyrell and Nic finding a way to laugh about their past mistakes and proving that they are fully committed to embracing each other’s needs. Horary for the snappy jar!

Most Hilarious Moment of the Episode:

This episode has resulted in a tie, but with a common thread linking both of the moments: Jandals.

Firstly, Cam is seen cooking for Jules, which is very cute. However, when the camera pans down we see that the man is only wearing one jandal, and he seems to have been dressed this way throughout the whole scene. What a fashion disaster.

The second was just a brief shot but it was spit-your-drink-out hilarious. We saw several shots of Martha and Michael unpacking their bags and zoom into the wardrobe to find a pair of jandals clipped onto a clothes hanger. It was a very weird, and very funny sight.
