Episode Twenty-Eight:
This dinner party was certainly one to remember.
Let’s start on a light note. Cam and Jules decided that after the experiment they would be moving in together in Jules’ home, and Ning and Mark retold the story of the sex-that-never-was to the highly amused group. Loveliness all around, but unfortunately that was where the pleasantries ended.
Cyrell arrived at the dinner party without her ring and told the group that she and Nic were finished. She was not bitter or cruel, but there was a touch of sadness to her character despite her attempt at a ‘single ladies’ joke. Nic wore his ring but quickly realised that things between him and Cyrell were over. It’s almost like leaving halfway through the homestay was going to do bad things for their relationship?
Michael and Martha were pretty quiet the whole night, as were Heid and Mike.
Cyrell decided that now, with nothing to lose, she was going to speak her mind. She called out Jess in private and then publicly about her abhorrent cheating. There was screaming on both sides and Cyrell announced to the whole group that she heard Jess confess that she wanted to sleep with Dan. For reasons unclear to me, the group turned on Cyrell for being disruptive, rather than on Jess for her inappropriate comments.
Tamara decided to pull Jess aside to clarify the situation, but the sloshed blonde was unable to be particularly coherent. Tamara still seemed uncertain about the whole situation, while Dan was silent and sheepish.
Mick seemed rather unsurprised by the whole situation and even seemed to find humour in the whole thing. The ridiculousness of this whole situation is a tad funny.
Cutest Moment of the Episode:
Susie admitted that getting ready for a dinner party without Billy was a weird feeling. We are not sure if she was missing her stutter husband or revelling in his absence. But if it were the former, it was a pretty cute moment for the ice queen.
Most Hilarious Moment of the Episode:
The group compliment Michael for looking rather nice at the dinner party. Martha chimed in that he is slowly looking hotter because she is dressing him and doing his makeup. What a call out!
