Episode Twenty-Five:

This week was another commitment ceremony and things got a little bit heated, to say the least.

But before we begin analysing our couples, we must have a moment of silence for the fashion choices of one of our experts. The Oliva Newton-John look alike moment was a brutal reminder that some trends really should stay in the past.

Moving on.

Jules and Cam, as well as Ning and Mark, seemed to be in good places in their respective relationships, and both chose to STAY in the experiment.

Billy and Susie were still at each other’s throats, so it came as no surprise when Billy declared that he had had enough and wanted to LEAVE. However, Susie expressed that she was still committed to making things work and decided to STAY. It seems unlikely that this couple will ever be able to overcome their differences, but we are certainly going to watch them try.

Nic and Cyrell seemed to be in a better place than last week, but there was still a lot of tension between them. Both decided to STAY in the experiment and continue to try and regain the relationship they once had.

Martha and Michael were pretty dull, as per usual, and both decided to STAY.

Heidi and Mike continued to see-saw, and this week they were on their way down. Apparently, the night before the commitment ceremony the two got into a massive fight and decided to break up. However, come the morning Heidi expressed her deepest apologies for her continued ridiculousness and they got back together. Mike is being pushed further towards his breaking point, and it may not be possible for the two of them to push past Heidi’s nit-picking. But, for now, both decided to STAY.

Tamara and Dan also both decided to STAY, despite a growing distance between them. While Tamara chose to stay out of optimism for their relationship, Dan demonstrated far less integrity. He will be pursuing a relationship with both Tamara and Jess and chose to stay in order to decide who he wanted more. As if we needed more of a reason to dislike him…

Jess and Mick’s couch session was the main event for this episode. Mick once again decided to LEAVE the experiment, and refused to even comment on why. Because let’s face it, everyone already knows. Jess decided to STAY so that she could pursue her relationship with Dan, however, was dishonest with her reasonings. She was called out by the group for being inconsistent, saying one minute how disgusted she is with Mick for his comments last week towards her family, then in the same breath saying she wishes to stay. Mick was openly hostile towards Jess, as he clearly wanted to put this whole experiment behind him but is being forced to relive it. He will now have to endure another week with one of the most disliked people on Australian television. Yikes.

Cutest Moment of the Episode:

Cam’s constant dotting on his amazing wife Jules. We stopped counting how many times he has complimented her as it would be utterly impossible.

Most Hilarious Moment of the Episode:

Mick was furious at Jess for forcing him to stay yet another week, and he really let it show. Constant mutterings, swearing and dramatic eye-rolling came from his side of the couch. It would almost be mean if she wasn’t so deserving. It was hilarious to watch the normal very controlled Mick let it out and hash into the she-devil.
