Auckland Art Festival 2019 Lineup is Released

New Zealanders are preparing once again to demonstrate their artistic prowess, as the 2019 Auckland Arts Festival lineup is announced. Jonathan Bielski is tackling his second year as director and will be drawing on the best home-grown talent New Zealand has to offer.

With 42 individual programmes from the 7th to the 24th of March, the upcoming event is celebrating the best theatre, dance, music and visual art local performers have to offer. Venues will include The Civic, Aotea Centre, The Auckland Town Hall and Q Theatre.

Performers include Grammy Award-winning musicians from The Silkroad ensemble and revered Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter. This year’s performances are stepping outside of the box and will feature a 360-degree experience at the Stardome Planetarium, a “champagne cabaret” recommended for audiences aged 18 and over and a captivating children’s theatre performance of The Bookbinder.
