Bridgerton S4: Benedict & Sophie At The Masquerade Ball

Bridgerton Season 4: See Benedict and Sophie Meet at the Masquerade Ball

We needn’t turn to Lady Whistledown’s Society Papers for the lowdown on Bridgerton Season 4.

The 2025 Season of Love fan event, hosted by Queen Charlotte herself this Valentine’s Day, brought eagerly awaited news.

Benedict Bridgerton will lead the series’ latest instalment. The character who once looked around from the corner of the ballroom is now ready for his Bridgerton love story.

Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is opposed to settling down. That is until an enthralling woman captures Benedict’s attention at Violet Bridgerton’s masquerade ball. While Benedict knows his love interest as only the Lady in Silver, she’s Sophie, a resourceful maid with her secrets and dreams.

The event’s emcee, Hugh Sachs, who plays the queen’s right-hand man Brimsley, also revealed some fabulous costumes we can expect to see worn at the iconic bash, a beloved moment for fans of the original books.

Thankfully, some familiar faces will be on hand as Benedict and Sophie navigate their intrigue-filled affair. Among the announcements was confirmation that Season 2’s leading lady, Simone Ashley, who plays Anthony Bridgerton’s beloved wife, Kate Sharma, will return for another season.

The upcoming season of Bridgerton will consist of eight episodes. The show has expanded its filming locations on one of the newly constructed back lots of Shepperton Studios outside of London.

The building spans about two acres and features replicas of Georgian and Regency architecture, including homes, buildings, Mayfair Street, and more in all their splendour.

The third book in Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton series, An Offer from a Gentleman, inspires the upcoming episodes of this new season.
