As Charli XCX plans her upcoming concerts downunder, Kiwi fans can’t wait to shop for their favourite items.

With the breaking news that Charli XCX has been confirmed to headline Laneway festival next year, Kiwi fans are planning to go to great lengths to catch their favourite pop icon.

Research from Afterpay reveals that over a quarter (21 percent) of Kiwis are willing to ‘chuck a sickie’ to attend a music event: two in five Gen Z (45 percent) and Millennials (30 percent). On top of this, almost half (47 percent) of Kiwis have booked annual leave to attend a festival or concert this year, showing just how dedicated fans are to their music idols.

Additionally, Kiwis are ready to embrace their very own Brat Summer – Afterpay data shows purchases of brat green items have surged by a massive 625 percent year on year, with Millennials (56 percent) and Gen Z (33 percent) making up the majority of purchases.
