Eggs For Mental Health

You Ok? cartons are Better Eggs fundraiser for NZ Mental Health

Family-owned and fourth-generation egg producer, Better Eggs hopes to make a positive change for mental health, by partnering with I AM HOPE’s Gumboot Friday. From every pink, You Ok? egg carton, 50 cents is being donated directly to the mental health charity and goes towards free counseling and private care for young people in distress.

To date, Better Eggs has raised over $9,000 for Gumboot Friday and it hopes to add to that this year. The company’s chief executive Gareth van der Heyden said they are committed to supporting Kiwi’s mental health.

“The Better Eggs family has had several tragedies with loved ones being lost to mental health illnesses, so we are very proud to have launched You Ok? to help make a difference.”

“We feel privileged to be joining the mental health conversation and help make some real change. This isn’t a one-off promotion for a specific amount of time, this product will remain on the shelf indefinitely and we will continue to donate to the charity.”

Better Eggs has been supplying top-quality eggs to Kiwis since 1937 and recently opened its 139-hectare free-range forest. Its very distinct pink egg cartons are available throughout the North Island now.
