Halloween Spooktacular In Auckland

Halloween Spooktacular In Auckland

The Trusts are hosting their first-ever Halloween Spooktacular, transforming West Auckland into the ultimate spooky season destination.

Aucklanders wanting to celebrate Halloween can join the fun and give back to the local community at this family-friendly event.

“The Halloween Spooktacular is going to bring local whānau and tamariki an exciting evening packed with a wide range of fun activities like nothing we’ve done before,” said Allan Pollard, CEO of The Trusts.

“We’re thrilled that the event will also offer a platform for the initiatives that make The West so special to have some fun, raise funds and awareness, and engage face-to-face with our community.”

On Saturday, the 1st of November, from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm, New Lynn’s Suburbs Rugby Club (128 Portage Road) will be transformed into a Halloween hub.

Bring your gold coins, dress up, and get ready for:

  • Trick or Treat Lane – Families can wander through stalls hosted by local organisations, including Plunket, The Glass Ceiling Collective, NZ Police, Life Education Trust, and Triangle Park Community Garden, collecting treats and taking part in activities for a gold coin donation.
  • Haunted House – Marples Manor, brought to life by Suburbs Rugby Club and Jeremy & Linda Marple – Ray White Synergy, offers scares for the brave, with a NZD 2 donation entry and a ‘no scare’ time for younger children from 3-5 pm.
  • Food Trucks – Local favourites including What A BBQ, Kookie Haus, Catchya Cookout, and Taste of Rwanda will serve up delicious food, with 15 percent of all food truck revenue going to support a local community organisation.
  • Family Fun & Bar – Face painting, fundraising games, and an adult bar ensure there’s something for everyone.
  • Free Movie Screenings – End the night with a spooky cinema session! Bring your chairs for free screenings of Halloween classics: 5:30 PM – The Nightmare Before Christmas, and 7:30 PM – Ghostbusters.

This event is about putting the heart back into Halloween. Every gold coin spent on the fun activities goes directly to organisations and initiatives that support West Auckland.

Guests are encouraged to bring chairs for the movie screenings and use public transport where possible, as parking will be limited.

In line with The Trusts’ sustainability commitments, the Spooktacular will also be a zero-waste event. Head to the Suburbs Rugby Club for a day of spooky fun, great food, and community good!
