Joy for Joy: Best Male Artist at ARIA Awards

Vance Joy has picked up an ARIA award, recognising the Melbourne singer-songwriter’s success in his home country and abroad.

Born James Keogh, the artist won the Best Male Artist category at the 2015 ARIA awards on the back of his debut album, Dream Your Life Away.

With a gentle yet extraordinarily rousing vocals, Vance Joy’s signature sound is captured in the likes of Riptide and Georgia, while platinum-awarded Fire and the Flood was the song of choice for the opening ceremony of the awards.

Having performed throughout Canada, Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States, Vance Joy is now back on the Australian tour circuit, performing half a dozen concerts with Taylor Swift.

The artist performed at 2014’s Laneway Festival – it’s fair to say festival organisers’ ability for picking up-and-coming talent was on the mark with this Australian wonder.
