Kiwi singer Benee wins big at VNZMAs

Kiwi pop singer Benee dominated the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards over the weekend, winning four tuis.

The nineteen-year-old won more awards than any other artist on the night, including Best Solo Artist, Single of the Year, Best Pop Artist and Breakthrough Artist of the Year.

Held at Auckland’s Spark Arena, the VNZMAs featured live performances from Th’ Dudes, The Beths, Mitch James, Avantdale Bowling Club, Troy Kingi, Benee, Hollie Smith and Teeks.

The Soaked hitmaker appeared shocked to have won the awards and in her speech, thanked her fans.

“Oh my goodness, I don’t even know what to say,” she said.

“Thank you for listening to our music, it means the world to me.”
