Disney’s live-action version of The Little Mermaid was released in cinemas in May and will now be available to stream on Disney+ from the 6th of September, 2023.
The Little Mermaid is the story of Ariel, a beautiful, young and adventurous mermaid who longs to discover more about the world beyond the sea and falls for Prince Eric. She deals with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which jeopardises her life and her father’s crown.
The movie stars singer and actress Halle Bailey as Ariel, Jonah Hauer-King as Eric, and Melissa McCarthy as Ursula.
Voicing the iconic sea creatures are Daveed Diggs as the voice of Sebastian, Awkwafina as Scuttle and Jacob Tremblay as the voice of Flounder.
This live-action was brought to the screen by director Rob Marshall along with music from Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda. Subscribers of Disney+ will also have special access to exclusive bonus content.
