Married at First Sight star Melissa Lucarelli has revealed the brutal way she was dumped from being a bridesmaid for castmate Jules Robinson.
Having found love on the reality wedding show, Robison and MAFS husband Cam Merchant decided to tie the knot for the second time outside of the show. During an episode of the show, Robinson had asked fellow cast members Lucarelli and Heidi Latcham to be bridesmaids at her real wedding, however, has since changed her mind.
Robinson had allegedly texted her former castmate explaining that just because she told the two women on the show they could be her bridesmaids, didn’t mean she had to go through with it.
“You’re not going to be a bridesmaid anymore… I haven’t really seen you this year, it wouldn’t be right to have you standing next to me [at] my real wedding,” Robinson told Lucarelli.
“People said a lot of things on that show. This is real life. I won’t be answering any media messages about this. I just want it to blow over and it will be forgotten about. Take care.”
Lucarelli has since addressed the situation several times and even took to Instagram to post a photo of the two women and captioned “Yes, the rumours are true.”
“Yes, Jules dumped me as a bridesmaid. No, I wasn’t at the wedding event of the year,” Lucarelli wrote.
Robinson and husband Merchant have since re-married in a ceremony televised by Channel 9.
