Britney fans hoping to get their hands on her much-anticipated memoir are going to have to wait even longer because while the book is finished, worldwide supply shortages have impacted publication dates.
That’s right, there’s a global paper shortage.
Publisher Simon & Schuster hopes to have the books on shelves next January, but since there’s no clear estimate for when the paper shortage will be resolved, the publisher has yet to confirm an alternate release date.
Spears signed a deal to publish a tell-all memoir back in February, which fetched her an astonishing US$15 million (NZ$23m) advance. The deal, which was the centre of a bidding war between multiple publishers, is said to be one of the biggest of all-time, just behind a book deal the Obamas signed.
It’s not clear what Spears will discuss in the book, exactly, but it’s expected that she will address the collapse of her relationship with her family amid her battle to end her restrictive conservatorship.
