REVIEW | DC League of Super-Pets

We follow Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman in the new animation DC League of Super-Pets. The duo are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis side by side. When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a rag-tag shelter pack — Ace the hound, PB the potbellied pig, Merton the turtle and Chip the squirrel — to master their own newfound powers and help him rescue the Super Heroes. Just because they’re super doesn’t make them heroes.

The film is fantastic for kids and was a wicked laugh, even for us. Go for the doggy banter, stay for the catty remarks. It’s a light bit of fun, but don’t expect to be surprised – you get what you pay for and sets out to be exactly what it wants to be. A light hearted animation for your Sunday afternoon.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stars as the voice of Krypto the Super-Dog in the new animated action-adventure DC League of Super-Pets from director Jared Stern. The film also stars the voices of Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, Marc Maron, Thomas Middleditch, Ben Schwartz, and Keanu Reeves.
