The new Downton Abbey: A New Era is exactly what you hope it to be. It delivers the much loved characters and storyline that offers escapism into a comforting favourite. This film follows the Crawley family as they go on a grand journey to the South of France to uncover the mystery of the dowager countess’s newly inherited villa.
If you grew up watching Downton Abbey, you will already be on board with it. If you haven’t watched Downton Abbey a day in your life, I would not recommend this film. They definitely played it safe and went for another fan favourite film.
