Everyone’s favourite pineapple-dwelling cartoon sea sponge turns 20 this year, and to celebrate SKY is screening as much SpongeBob SquarePants as is physically possible.
From the 6th to the 21st of July, SKY will be hosting a channel dedicated to SpongeBob. Every episode from season 1 to season 11 will be screened, non-stop, 24/7. Now that’s a sleepover.
Over on Nickelodeon, a special 20th-anniversary episode, SpongeBob’s Big Birthday Blowout, will be screened on July 13th. The episode will feature the actors behind the voices of SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr Krabs, Sandy, Squidward, and Plankton playing live-action doppelgängers of their characters. David Hasselhoff, who starred in The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie 15 years ago, will also make a guest appearance.
