Universal Pictures and Warner Bros. Discovery have released the first official trailer for Twisters, which will put you in direct contact with one of nature’s most awe-inspiring and destructive forces.
The current-day chapter of the 1996 blockbuster Twisters is brought to you by the producers of the Jurassic, Bourne, and Indiana Jones series. Lee Isaac Chung, the Oscar-nominated writer-director of Minari, directs the movie.
The movie stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell in opposing roles as they attempt to predict and possibly control the immense power of tornadoes.
Golden Globe nominee Edgar-Jones plays Kate Cooper, a former storm chaser who now studies storm patterns in New York City. She is lured back to the open plains by her friend Javi to test a new tracking system, where she meets Tyler Owens (Powell), a charming and reckless social-media superstar who posts his storm-chasing adventures with his raucous crew.
As storm season intensifies, Cooper and Owens find themselves in the paths of multiple storm systems converging over central Oklahoma.
Twisters also features Brandon Perea, Sasha Lane, Daryl McCormack, Kiernan Shipka, Nik Dodani, and Maura Tierney.
