September begins with the return of Zoë Robins and Rosamund Pike in The Wheel of Time as new and old threats seek out the young friends from the Two Rivers who must find strength in the Light or the Dark, as the woman who once guided them becomes powerless.

The countdown is on for the highly anticipated prequel series, The Continental: From The World of John Wick has also begun with just a month to go for its premiere on the 22nd of September. The three-part event explores the origin behind the iconic hotel-for-assassins centrepiece of the John Wick world through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott dragged into the hellish 1970s NYC.

From the world of The Boys comes Gen V on the 29th of September, which explores the training of the first generation of superheroes to know about Compound V, and that their powers were injected into them rather than God-given. 

Return to Ramsay St in the new season of Neighbours on the 26th of September or get inspired by the true stories of NASA flight engineer José Hernández in A Million Miles Away or of Saúl Armendáriz, a gay amateur wrestler who rises to international stardom, upending the macho wrestling world in Cassandro.

Also inspired by actual events is the movie, Sitting in Bars with Cake starring Yara Shahidi and Odessa A’zion. Releasing on the 8th of September, it follows best friends, the extroverted Jane and shy Corinne, who commits to a year of ‘cake barring’.
