2018 OSCAR NOMINATIONS

This year’s 90th annual Academy Awards nominations have finally been announced and this year’s nominees are breaking all kinds of records. Lady Bird nabbed 5 nominations with Greta Gerwig receiving a nomination for Best director, becoming only the fifth woman to earn the coveted directing nod.

This years stand out horror Get Out, racked up four nominations with writer/director Jordan Peele being the first African American to receive nominations for Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Picture. Star Daniel Kaluuya rounding out the four with a nomination for Best Actor.  Octavia Spencer also made history becoming the only African American actress to follow up an Oscar victory with two nominations for her role in Shape Of Water.
