The Grammy Awards are preparing for their 61st annual ceremony this February, and the celebrity lineup for the event is becoming increasingly impressive.
The incredibly talented Alecia Keys has been named as this year host and is sure to bring a powerful female presence to the event. This will be the singers first time hosting the ceremony, but she is no stranger to the main stage. Keys has taken home an impressive collection of Grammy Awards throughout her career, including Best New Artist in 2002, Best Rap song in 2011 and Best R&B Album in 2014. Overall, the singer has amassed 15 individual Grammy Awards, making her one of the most renown and revered artists in music today.
Keys released a statement celebrating the announcement. “I’m so excited to be the master of ceremonies on the biggest night in music and celebrate the creativity, power and magic. I’m especially excited for all the incredible women nominated this year!”
