Production has begun for the third and final season of Heartbreak High in Sydney, Australia.
In Season 3, it’s time for Hartley High’s graduating class to say ‘goodbye’ to school and ‘hello’ to adulthood!
Yet when a revenge prank goes wrong, Amerie and her friends must cover up their secret or risk losing everything.
Produced by Fremantle Australia and NewBe, Heartbreak High Season 3 will stream globally on Netflix and join the platform’s growing slate of homegrown Australian films and shows.
After its April premiere, season 2 was one of Australia’s Top 10 TV shows on Netflix. It also stayed on Netflix’s Global Top 10 English TV Series list for three weeks.
Season 2 was also among the Top 10 shows on Netflix in over 53 countries, including the UK, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
The second season showed all the friends back for Term Two at the “lowest ranking school in the district.” But fresh hotties, a new sports teacher and a mystery assailant threw any hopes for a peaceful term into disarray, while the race for school captain saw dirty tactics run rife through Hartley High.
Term 2 was more chaotic than ever. The show set hearts ablaze with the hashtag Heartbreak High, sparking over two billion views on TikTok.
