Get ready to indulge in delicious wine, pizza and dancing as New Zealand’s largest Italian street festival returns to Auckland this October. Festival Italiano will explore the best Italian cuisine, art, wine and entertainment NZ has to offer. Even though the event doesn’t take place until October 28, true Italians and fans alike can start celebrating from August as an array of events; including movies, concerts, opera and parties, are scheduled to take place in the build-up to the event.
Patrons can choose from over 40 different stalls as they walk through the Italian themed market. Eat al fresco at the lunch area or head to the bar for some limoncello. Live music for dancing will be heard over the speakers throughout the day, along with workshops, tastings and exhibits of all things Italian. Spot prizes and a chance to win a trip to Italy will also be up for grabs on the day.
Head to the Rialto Centre and Lumsden Green in Newmarket on Sunday 28 October to enjoy this annual event showcasing the very best of NZ’s Italy.
