Several popular Auckland venues have confirmed their opening hours and Labour Day weekend activities ahead of the October long weekend.
As Spring weather finally settles in on the North Island, popular city venues including Dr Rudis, Saint Alice, Springs Tavern and Wynyard Pavilion have confirmed they’ll be trading on the public holiday, along with regular weekend programming including live DJs, feed me menus and kids’ activities.
Morningside Tavern is also trading and inviting locals to its charity BBQ on the public holiday to kick off its fundraising efforts for ‘Movember’.
“Our community is pretty tight-knit, and always looking for ways to give back,” said Venue Manager Chris Marquet.
“We’d love to see the community come down and support our ‘Movember’ charity BBQ on Monday (October 26), bring a gold coin and a good attitude. Plus, we’ll have a bouncy castle for the kids and live music for the whole family to enjoy.”
For those heading down the coast for the weekend, Astrolabe in Mount Maunganui is hosting live DJs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night, plus its popular $15 ‘Roti Night’ on Monday.
And for those heading up the coast, there’s ‘Sundae Sundays’ happening at the Long Bay Surf Club where you can build your own sundae, and kids eat free on Monday.
