FC Barcelona showcased its new kit for the 2026/27 season at the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA), around the slogan «Blaugrana heartbeat. The passions that move us».
The Blaugrana heartbeat is the energy driving every play, every shout from the stands and every generation wearing the colours. This passion brings players and fans together, drives the Club and is passed on from generation to generation.
This concept was the thread that ran throughout the event and gave meaning to the new kit that symbolised this emotional bond. The show combined contemporary dance, live music and audiovisual pieces to recreate the different stages of emotions on game days, from pre-match stress through to joy at the end.
Player movements and fan gestures merged on big screens to jointly express this shared beat, symbolising the unbreakable bond between the pitch and the stands. It highlighted the jersey as a symbol of unity between the pitch and the stands.
Designed in conjunction with Nike, a Main Partner of the Club, the jersey is made with Dri-FIT ADV technology, which optimises perspiration and performance, providing greater comfort and a lighter feel while playing.
The team kit features a new typeface, FC Barcelona Modernista, created exclusively for the Club to strengthen the bond between its visual identity, the city of Barcelona, and Catalonia’s cultural heritage and modernism.
From a formal point of view, it draws on some of its most characteristic visual elements, including stylised shapes, verticality, and organic touches that evoke the graphic language of one of the most influential creative periods in Catalonia’s history.
The back of the jerseys also includes lines in the background that add depth, texture and dynamism, reinterpreting the artisan spirit of modernism in a contemporary way. This typeface will be used exclusively for the names and numbers on the Blaugrana first-team kits.
The men’s and women’s first teams will wear it in the UEFA Champions League, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup, while the official typeface of LaLiga will still be used in that competition.
The new typeface identity will also be used by the Club’s other professional teams, as well as for the youth categories and the different sporting sections, consolidating a common visual expression that reinforces a sense of belonging to Barça.
A new feature sees the left sleeve of the kit featuring the logo of Midea, the smart household appliances company, the Club’s new Main Partner.
From next season, the Barça Foundation logo will also feature on the back of the men’s and women’s first-team football jerseys in all competitions.
The new jersey is now available at both Barça and Nike online and in-store.
