BOOKCLUB // LOVE VOLTAIRE US APART BY JULIA EDELMAN

A spoof philosopher’s guide to relationships was just what I needed to read this week.

This witty book of lovelorn philosophers looks at the love lives of Aristotle, John Locke and others through the means of loving Messenger chats, tragic emails, agony aunt columns and all sorts.  From the many questions of a love-struck Socrates to a hopelessly romantic Kant sexting, I thoroughly enjoyed this book of sparkling philosophical wit.  Taking the quiz “Getting Meta(Physical)-Who is Your Philosopher Crush?” also helped me figure out my true philosopher soulmate, which is a big relief to me!  Finally, now I know.

This is a fabulous book all round, full of laughs.
