To commemorate the launch of Lorde’s third studio album, Solar Power, Spotify is giving fans exclusive content from Ella herself, through an Enhanced Album available only on Spotify.
Enhanced Albums allow fans to connect with artists in a deeper, more engaging way, and they give artists a way to immerse fans in the inspiration, stories, and creativity behind their art. The Enhanced Album will feature never-before-seen, exclusive audio and video content to give fans a deeper connection to the album from Ella’s perspective – Solar Power is in her own words, a tribute to ‘the natural world’ and the Spotify Enhanced Album will include:
- Clips – a combination of exclusive images and video content narrated by Ella from her own deeply magical adventures in nature, most of which took place in New Zealand, all of which directly inspired Solar Power.
- Storylines – designed to give artists the space to share their story or inspiration behind a song, Ella is giving fans an insight into the writing, meaning and facts behind each track
- Canvas – short looping visuals created specifically for tracks on the album
The Solar Power Enhanced Album is the only way to experience the music the way it was intended, which Ella suggests is through a really good day in nature, preferably the beach.
This is only the second Enhanced Album from a local AUNZ artist, with Tame Impala’s Slow Rush, launching in 2019. Globally, Spotify has recently supported artists such as Billie Eilish with a first-ever artist hub and three Enhanced Album experiences for Happier Than Ever.
