The characters of Roald Dahl inspired Charlie and the Christmas Factory. Roald Dahl was a spy, ace fighter pilot, chocolate historian, and medical inventor. He was also the author of Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The BFG, and many other brilliant stories.
The illustrator Rikin Parekh studied art at Camberwell College of Arts and the University of Westminster. He has since worked storyboarding, designing monsters for the film industry, and selling books for a national chain.
