CURIOUS AFFECTION EXPLORES DNA SPLICING

Artist Patricia Piccinini is known for her unsettling, thought-provoking sculptures. Her latest exhibition, Curious Affection is currently on display at Brisbane’s Museum of Modern Art. The lifelike sculptures are made using fibreglass, silicon and real human hair to create animalist human sculptures. Piccinini’s aim of the exhibit is to explore a parallel universe where human evolution has given way to DNA splicing and genetic engineering. The end result is beyond bizarre…you have been warned.
