GRISSINI – WHAT IS IT?

The Italian breadstick or more formerly known as Grissini is a lesser known Italian snack. Originating from Turin, Italy Grissini can come in a range of flavours such as garlic, rosemary, sesame or just natural. The breadsticks are a crunchy addition to any grazing platter or a soup. Here are some tips on the best way to enjoy this Italian delicacy:

Dip It

Luckily breadsticks are firm enough to dunk into any dipping sauce. Try with a slow roasted tomato sauce or with a pot of your favourite hummus.

Wrap It

Grissini doesn’t have to be eaten alone. Try wrapping a slice of prosciutto around the Grissini to give it an added punch of salty flavour.

Cover It

Everyone loves cheese. So why not add it to your Grissini. Quickly whip up your favourite cheesy sauce using either parmesan or gorgonzola and pour over the top of the Grissini. For an extra twist wrap the Grissini in prosciutto beforehand.
