Lewis Capaldi Surprises Fans in Line

Pop superstar, Lewis Capaldi has given one fan a day he’ll never forget, by surprising a busker with an impromptu duet.

The “Somebody You Loved” singer has been candid about his distaste for fans covering his music, but the temptation almost proved too much for Capaldi not to join in.

The pair sang Capaldi’s latest hit, “Wish You the Best” whilst the busker waited in line at Capaldi’s concert. Singing to fellow fans in the crowd, Busker Jake Cornell was taken aback when the artist himself made an appearance. Posting to Instagram, Capaldi shared the fan’s once-in-a-lifetime interaction.

“His name is @jakeecornell go check him out team,” the singer urged fans.

In the clip, Capaldi, being the kind-hearted soul that he is, jumped out of his car without security nearby and ran directly over to Cornell.

Lewis Capaldi is set to perform in New Zealand at Spark Arena in Auckland on July 18th, so kiwi fans get practising if you want to try and score a spontaneous duet with Capaldi, because as you have seen, it’s more than possible.
