New Judges Announced for The Voice

The Voice is arguably one of the most popular talent shows around the world, with international versions being made in the United Kingdom, Australia, and even specially produced series for kids. But it is the American series which truly is the original.

Long-time Judge/mentor on the Show, Blake Shelton has been on the show since it began, 23 seasons ago, but as it seems his time on the show will come to an end when the current season finishes.

A new line-up of judges has been announced for the show’s 24th season, with new faces joining the famous red chairs, and fan-favourite judges leaving.

Original American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson has been a judge/mentor on the show on and off for nine seasons but will be saying farewell at the end of the current season as well.

One Direction alum, Niall Horan is set to stay as a judge next year, having made his debut appearance on season 23. Singer/songwriter John Legend will also be returning to the show after an absence as well.

Blake Shelton’s wife, No Doubt singer Gwen Stafani has signed onto the show to be a judge on the 24th season, as well as country music royalty, Reba McEntire.

McEntire said that she was thrilled to bring the ‘razzle dazzle’ to the show’s future.

“Taking over from Blake, so I’m going to represent country music. He’s got big boots to fill. I don’t know what size those boots are, but they are big. I’m gonna work really hard to make him proud.”
