REVIEW | Civil War

Civil War is a hauntingly real movie that doesn’t shy away from the horrors of war. Ever one is going to be pointing at this movie as a foretelling if tensions continue rising in America. Civil War is the gruesomely real telling of a drunken what if conversation. There is no going without mention the performance by Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny and Stephen McKinley Henderson as a group they do a beautiful job of lulling the most gruesome scenes.

Their ranges of showing such emotion to then so clearly dissociating. There has never been a film that has done a better job of changing lenses, perspectives and experiences of the characters.

Moura’s performance as Joel; showing emotions the brutal, raw and beautiful. The jaded and experienced voice from Stephen’s character Sammy subtle but just so real! Kirsten as Lee, the broken and war torn mature voice of this rag tag troupe.

The stand out is Cailee Spaeny as Jessie, the young and fresh journalist who wriggles into a journey no one in their right mind would take. She roles and grows like an absolute bad ass.
